Have you ever wanted to have a go at making your own clothes? If you are comfortable with a sewing machine and want to make a pair of casual trousers then this is the course for you!
Get ready to dive into the world of sewing in a fun, friendly and relaxed setting, and head home with a fabulous pair of trousers that you have made yourself!
This course is ideal for teens aged 12 and over who had a go and and want to build their skills. By the end of the course, you will be feel confident using your machine and be able to follow simple sewing patterns, opening the door to lots more creative projects.
Sewing machines, fabrics, patterns, materials and accessories are all provided, so you can simply turn up and enjoy learning something new. If you already have a machine, you are welcome to bring it along.
With more than 50 years of combined sewing experience, our DBS checked team loves inspiring new sewists and sharing just how creative, satisfying and exciting sewing can be.
Course Content
Over the course of the 2 days you will...
- Lay out & cut out a pattern
- learn basic seams
- learn how to adjust the machine for different stitches
- Learn how to make a patch pocket and sew an elasticated waist.

The course will run over 2 days giving a total of 6 hours learning time. See the drop down list for course dates. You will need to visit the shop before your course so you can be measured and you can choose your fabric.
