Get ready to dive into the world of sewing in a fun, friendly and relaxed setting, and head home with a gorgeous tote bag you have made yourself!
This course is perfect for teens aged 12 and over who are brand new to sewing, or who have had a go and are ready to build their skills. By the end of the course, you will feel confident using your machine and be able to follow simple sewing patterns, opening the door to lots more creative projects.
Everything you need is provided, including sewing machines, fabrics, materials and accessories, so all you have to do is turn up and enjoy the experience. If you already have your own machine and would love to learn on it, feel free to bring it along.
With more than 50 years of combined sewing experience, our team loves inspiring new sewists and sharing just how creative, satisfying and exciting sewing can be.
Course Content
Over the two fun-filled days, you will:
- get hands-on with your sewing machine, from threading and changing the needle and presser feet to winding the bobbin, loading it and setting the tension
- learn the basic seams that are the building blocks for all sorts of sewing projects
- discover how to adjust your machine for different stitches and see how each one can bring your project to life
- cut out your pattern and create your very own tote bag to take home and show off

The course will run over 2 days giving a total of 6 hours learning time.
